The Horizontal Bead Mills offered by us have been designed to reduce particle size through wet milling. Our Horizontal Bead Mill is ideal for pilot-plant and production applications. Mill base, to be ground should be pre-mixed and poured into the feeding vessel. The unique pressure pump, which can even handle higher viscosity materials, injects the material to be ground in milling chamber having high turbulence. The chilled water jacketed chamber is filled to 50-85% of the volume with small grinding beads of appropriate MOC like zirconium beads. The rotation of the agitator and subsequent movement of the media creates high shear and impact forces on the particles to be ground giving efficient particle and agglomerate size reduction. A unique dynamic gap created at the end of the chamber retains the beads in the chamber while the end product exits the chamber. All necessary controls and safety systems are provided to ensure the quality of the end product as well as the life of Horizontal Bead Mill. Product Details

Machine Frame

A well designed, sturdy, fabricated frame made out of MS sections and plates to support and house machine components and accessories with safety. Detachable covers for access to main motor terminals and drive belts. Anti-vibration mounts for mounting machine frame are provided for leveling.

Bearing Housing

The bearing housing is a well designed. Sturdy, fabricated and machined in single setting, to house two sets of paired angular contact bearings, mechanical seal and grinding shell.

Grinding Chamber

The grinding shell is provided with cooling jacket with spiral channel for water flow for effective heat transfer during grinding. Recommended cooling water in temperature is 10 C

Grinding Chamber Sealing

Double acting mechanical seal of reputed make Eagle/Super Seal/Leakproof/Hi-fab or equivalent make for main shaft. Seal cooling by solvent circulation through seal with the help of a gear pump driven by motor.

Feed Unit Pump

A special feed pump which can handle higher viscosity is mounted separately on a base place attachable, if require to main machine frame.

Panel

Main switch, on/off push buttons, Grinding chamber pressure digital indicator, Grinding material outlet temperature digital indicator, Grinding material feed rate digital indicator, Jacket water inlet and outlet temperature digital indicator and Seal coolant temperature digital indicator for safety controls are provided to ensure the quality of the end product. Star delta starter for pump motors. Warning lamp and auto alarm system for product high pressure and product high temperature cautions.

Safety Features

Electrical interlock of all motors.

Temperature control with the help of a temperature sensor and controller, which automatically stops the grinding motor when a set temperature is exceeded. We have also provided jacket cooling inlet and out let digital indicator.

Chamber pressure control with the help of digital pressure controlling system which automatically stops the feed pump when the set pressure is exceeded along with alarm on the panel.

Mechanical seal safety with the help of a pressure switch. Cut-off and pressure cut-off for seal cooling fluid which automatically stops the machine to prevent dry run of mechanical seal.

Flushing System

We provide auto flush system in mechanical seal which prevents cross contamination of two different grinding materials. It also helps to increase the life of mechanical seal.
